Cartridge Heaters – Technical and Product Overview

Cartridge heaters are manufactured with a resistance wire embedded in high-purity insulation and enclosed in a robust metallic sheath. This construction allows fast heat-up, excellent temperature stability, and long service life under demanding operating conditions. They are commonly used in plastic injection molds, packaging equipment, food processing machines, presses, and tooling systems.

Caldor Heat manufactures cartridge heaters with 1:1 equivalent technical characteristics to leading global brands. Diameter, length, wattage, voltage, tolerances, lead exits, and optional sensor integrations (thermocouple or PT100) are precisely engineered according to customer specifications. Stainless steel and special alloy sheath options, combined with optimized power density and premium MgO insulation, ensure maximum heat transfer efficiency.

All Caldor Heat cartridge heaters are subjected to strict quality control procedures, including electrical performance tests, insulation resistance measurements, and sealing integrity checks. This guarantees safe, consistent, and long-lasting operation, even in harsh industrial environments. All drawings include dimensional tolerances, electrical ratings, materials, lead configurations, and optional sensor details, providing full traceability and supporting reliable production, installation, and maintenance processes.

Square and Custom-Designed Cartridge Heaters 

We manufacture custom-designed cartridge heaters and heating elements, including square-profile models in addition to the classic round cross-section. While standard designs are cylindrical, square cross-sections can be produced for special requirements in 4.5×4.5 mm, 6×6 mm, 8×8 mm, and 10×10 mm, ensuring optimal fit, heat transfer, and mechanical stability in dedicated housings.

Cartridge Heaters with Integrated Temperature Sensors

Cartridge heaters can be combined with integrated temperature sensors to enable precise temperature monitoring and control. We manufacture cartridge heaters with various sensor options, including J and K type thermocouples, PT100, and PT1000.
